Branding Idea
Branding and Advertising for IDEA: Institute for Design Entrance Aspirants
IDEA is a newly established coaching institute in Patna, dedicated to guiding students who aspire to pursue careers in design.
In this project, I designed the Logo, Visual Identity, and Advertising strategy for IDEA. The goal was to create a brand identity that is both youthful and refined, appealing to a creative audience while standing out in the competitive market of design coaching institutes.
Idea of IDEA
As the target audience of IDEA is diverse, the branding is loud and innovative enough to attract teenage students, and at the same time, it is subtle and trustworthy to assure their parents.
The brand has come to me with a name and some logo ideas. The plan was to make its presence both in digital and print media, for creating an efficient marketing funnel.
Ink on Paper
Print media requires a sturdy and reliable design. The IDEA logo is crafted to be legible at extreme sizes and adaptable across multiple color variations.
In print, achieving the perfect color on paper or flex is often challenging, particularly in Below the Belt advertisements. That’s why all the graphics have higher contrast and are adaptable to potential color imbalances. I primarily opted for white or solid-colored backgrounds, which reduces the risk of inconsistencies during printing— and the risk of cursing the printers. 😌
Brand After Print
The true feeling of any brand emerges when the assets get printed. Here are the images of how the IDEA Institute looks along with BTL advertisements.
Planting the Seeds of Design
On behalf of IDEA, I had the opportunity to visit a Senior secondary school in Patna to raise awareness about design among students.
Along with highlighting the subtle presence of design in our everyday lives, we talked about Design colleges and their Entrance exams.
When you love doing something and realize that you can make a career out of it, it’s such a joyful feeling. I sensed that same joy in some of the students during the session. Probably they were our future fellow designers.😊
